Are you at peace with everyone? Or do you give yourself license to hold grudges?

I’ve been in many intentional communities and other communities and noticed that some parties think it’s a good idea to hold a grudge forever. It puts the person in pain, locks up their heart? How do I know? Because I just attended a guided meditation by the Broward Spiritist Society and it was a standard Buddhist loving-kindness practice… we got to the part where we focus on someone we are not at ease with… and I chose John the clerk at Palm Beach Quakers. Just prior to that part of the meditation I had been mentally mocking up ways to solve my riff with him that are similar to the words around LOVE instead of LOVE…
it’s so easy to point the finger at these other parties who felt cheated and chose to separate from me forever….
I realized that my heart was on fire.
There really needs to be an accountability process where we regularly evaluate if there are people we are not in love with and if so, why.
As I get drawn deeper into the Transcendental Meditation teachings, and truly start to see that all is one (NOT JUST THINK ABOUT IT), then the tendency to separate will go away.
